After around three hours being transfered, I continued my trip from Changi to NAIA (Ninoy Aquinoy International Airport) by the same air flight. Inside the airplane, I was so excited to see Philippines soon. My God, abroad!
Shortly, I came in Residencia de
Dios, Malate, Manila. It is a dormitory for male and female. Most of the occupants are students. I felt so
happy because the securities and the workers were welcoming nice. I stayed in
room 211. Actually Residencia de Dios was remembered me to Female Dormitory of
UIN Jakarta. There are some similarities, like the type of the building, beds,
and canteen.
We got an orientation meeting in
Kenny Roger Restaurant, Katipunan (if I’m not mistaken) from AIESEC AdMU
(Ateneo de Manila University) with the other Exchange Participants. By the way,
this exchange isn't an academic exchange, but it’s a volunteering exchange. So
everyone who joins AIESEC Exchange Program is gonna be a volunteer for a
social project. I took a project focusing on farming and nutrition. It was
challenge for me, because I come from language class and now I study
communication. You can imagine how I have less knowledge about that -.- but my
manager said that I had to try something new. On my team, there were 9
volunteers; me, Putri (Indonesia also), Natalia (Germany), Alexandra
(Switzerland), Tomris (Turkey), Tobias (Germany), Takuya (Japan), Hao (China),
and David (Germany). We got to know each other and tried to build the
chemistry. Hehe.
We had eating together happily. Some AIESECers of AdMU were there, like Michaelvin, Fay, Mari, and
Ryan. Michaelvin was the coordinator of the project. He explained to us what
were we gonna do during the project. That became a nice meeting.
